Loughborough based pharmaceutical company, Morningside Pharmaceuticals Ltd, will be helping people remember a loved one this festive season by sponsoring a special event held at LOROS Hospice.

Light up a Life will this year be taking place on Sunday 3rd December, an event which occurs every year giving people the chance to remember that someone special.
Regardless of whether they have experienced LOROS or not, everyone is welcome to join thousands of others and come together to remember a loved one.

Morningside’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Nik Kotecha OBE said: “This is the second time we have sponsored Light up a Life and we are once again honoured to be doing so.

“Christmas can be such a difficult time when you’re missing that special someone but the Light up a Life service gives everyone an opportunity to come together and remember together.

“We’re extremely proud to support an event like this, it is clearly much-loved by the community and it’s a lovely event to be associated with.”

Visitors have the opportunity to sponsor a light on the Hospice’s Christmas tree, with the lights being switched on at the service.

While the service will be taking place on the Hospice grounds, outside, the Hospice will be open for those that wish to visit the chapel.

LOROS Events Manager Laura Betts said: “We are so grateful to the team at Morningside for wanting to support our Light up a Life event once again.

“It’s fantastic to see a local organisation supporting a local charity and it’s only thanks to generous support from companies like Morningside that events like these are able to go ahead.”

This year’s event takes place on Sunday 3rd December, in the Hospice grounds, with the service starting at 4.30pm.

If people don’t want to attend the service but would like to remember a loved one by donating to the Light up a Life campaign, they can do so either online or by calling the LOROS fundraising team, up until 31st January.
