The West Midlands Health Technologies Cluster (WMHTC) is defining its next chapter – and there’s still time for leaders across industry, academia, and the public sector to get involved.

Workshop 1: Insight & Evidence started the conversation, reviewing regional insights, exploring best-practice examples, and identifying key opportunities and challenges for the West Midlands health and life sciences ecosystem.

Melanie Davidson, Executive Lead, WMHTC and CEO, Medilink Midlands, reflected:

“The discussions yesterday were rich and insightful – it’s clear the West Midlands has huge potential to collaborate and shape a shared vision for health tech innovation. Thank you to those who joined Workshop 1, and we now want to hear from even more leaders across industry, academia, and the public sector – your insight is vital in shaping the next chapter for cluster success in the West Midlands.”

Insights from Workshop 1 will be available shortly, providing a foundation for the next stages of co-creation.

The journey continues with two further workshops:

  • Workshop 2: Co-Creation of Vision & Mission – help define the cluster’s shared North Star, refreshed vision, and strategic priorities.

  • Workshop 3: Action Lines & Delivery Model – contribute to shaping practical action lines and a delivery framework to bring the North Star to life.
