Welcome to the Midlands Drinks Reception
On Monday 3 June, Medilink Midlands hosted a Drinks Reception at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, to welcome the first of our international delegates, including Carlos Diaz from Digital4Health in Spain, to enable regional businesses to meet new connections ahead of the MTI Expo 2024 at the NEC.
Representatives from award-winning members Upper Pharma Solutions and Salts Healthcare spoke to delegates about their business journeys, exporting success and the benefits of being based in the Midlands.
The Med-Tech Innovation EXPO is the UK & Ireland’s leading event for medical device manufacturing.
Organised by Rapid Med-Tech Communications, Med-Tech Innovation Expo event brings together leaders, engineers, innovators and manufacturers, connecting them with technology and innovation to facilitate the design and manufacture of life changing medical devices.
Medilink Midlands stand
The team hosted a stand right in the centre of the expo, offering:
- International Discovery Talks with David Schneider from NRW. Global Business in Germany, Lily Lin and Andrew Thomson from UK/China partnerships agency Excellence First Enterprise Consultancy and Teodora Chifor from the RISE Institute in Romania. - The Global Trade department answered queries relating to import/export matters.
- 1:1 meetings with industry, academia and NHS representatives.

A fantastic total of 36% of speakers at the MTI Expo were members of Medilink Midlands. Delegates also were able to connect with our neighbouring stand members, including: The Brand Strategy, ALM Translations, i4i Product Design, NOMICS, eg Technology, Nuom & University of Nottingham.
