Medilink Midlands is inviting expressions of interest from life science and medtech companies across the region to join a strategic trade mission to Mentor, Ohio, from 26–29 October 2025 – deepening a long-standing and productive collaboration between the two regions.

This visit marks the next chapter in a well-established partnership with the City of Mentor, who have previously hosted a UK delegation and made multiple visits to the Midlands to attend our MTI Expo and Conference, as well as 1-2-1 meetings held earlier this year in April 2025. The mission is designed to strengthen trade, investment, and innovation links between the Midlands and Northeast Ohio — one of the USA’s most important biomedical hubs.

Why Mentor, Ohio?
Situated at the heart of a region home to over 700 biomedical firms and globally recognised healthcare institutions such as the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, and Case Western Reserve University, Mentor offers a powerful platform for UK companies looking to expand, partner, or collaborate internationally.

The mission agenda includes:

  • High-level briefings on the US healthcare and reimbursement system

  • Insights into venture capital, market entry, and insurance

  • Visits to leading institutions including Cleveland Clinic Mentor Hospital, STERIS Corporation, and Lakeland Community College’s Health Technologies Facility

  • One-to-one business meetings tailored to delegate interests

  • Networking with investors, buyers, and policy leaders, including the Ohio Life Sciences Association and British American Chamber of Commerce.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to join a panel discussion featuring Medilink Midlands CEO Melanie Davidson, alongside US healthcare and medtech leaders, sharing international perspectives on innovation and market access.

This mission offers a unique opportunity to explore market entry strategies, build valuable connections, and showcase Midlands innovation to an engaged US audience.

Interested companies must complete an Expression of Interest form and answer a few short questions.

Submit your Expression of Interest here. Deadline: 5pm GMT, Friday 15 August 2025
