The South East Midlands was allocated £117 million from the 2014-20 European Structural Investment Fund (ESIF) Growth Programme. The Growth Programme provides investment to projects that promote growth, jobs and social inclusion. ESIF comprises three different funds.

The South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP) have recently produced two brochures which feature projects available to local businesses and communities across the South East Midlands, that are part-funded through the European Structural Investment Fund programme. They highlight offer of each project and shows the value and impact each project has made, told by the local businesses and people who have benefitted themselves.
