UK-based Cambridge Sleep Sciences (CSS), the science-based sleep technology business behind SleepHub®, has announced a new exclusive partnership with sleep experts Sleep Analysis Australia (SAA).

CSS has appointed SAA as a Master Distributor for SleepHub® products in Australia, as they continue to grow global market share for their unique, sound-based electronic sleep aid. SAA will promote SleepHub® to its extensive distributor and retailer network, and specialist partners. Business sales will also be supported by a direct to consumer e-commerce offering – a brand new website for SleepHub® has just been launched.

Disruption to sleep during the Covid-19 pandemic has been widely reported. New national research conducted in Australia by Medibank, in partnership with world-renowned sleep expert Dr Michael Mosley, found that 1 in 4 Australians (an estimated 5 million people) reported changes to their sleep patterns during the pandemic.1

The need for help to restore natural sleep patterns has never been greater and the opportunity for businesses like CSS and SAA is significant. According to Market Data Forecast, the Asia Pacific sleep aids market, which includes Australia and New Zealand, currently worth USD11.95 billion, is estimated to grow at a CAGR of 6.9% by 2026.2

Dr Julian Stone, CEO of CSS said: “Partnerships are key to our future growth and collaboration has always been at the heart of our business. This latest partnership with Bart and the team is particularly important to us. It represents another significant step in scaling up our international SleepHub® offering and making better sleep available to more people.”

Bart Evers, Director of SAA said: “We are excited to partner with Cambridge Sleep Sciences and bring this unique, science-based sleep technology to the Australasian market. Our business is dedicated to offering products that help to improve sleep. SleepHub® allows us to add another element to our product offering. SAA will also look to form additional partnerships with organisations in Australia and New Zealand to offer this unique sleep technology to consumers.”

SleepHub® is the first sleep product from CSS, part of The Barkby Group Plc, and is the result of more than a decade of research and development. Users are helped to achieve quality, natural sleep through scientifically formulated sounds, delivered using a pair of premium speakers, that use specific beats and pulses to modulate sleep patterns. A new SleepHub® product is expected to be available in early 2022.
