Cory Stobart, member of the patents team at AdamsonJones, has passed the set of four Final Diploma examinations for qualification as a Registered UK Patent Attorney. Success in these demanding examinations reflects both the hard work undertaken by Cory as well as the firm’s commitment to training and career progression.
Cory joined AdamsonJones in September 2017 as a patent assistant, providing support with all aspects of patent work, including drafting and prosecution. He holds a Masters of Physics with Medical Physics degree from the University of Sheffield and his main area of technical expertise is patent and design protection in the fields of medical devices, engineering, electronics, and software.
Nic Ferrar, director, said, “Cory has undertaken extensive in-house training, external revision courses and numerous exams in order to become a qualified UK patent attorney. Cory’s exam success takes the total number of qualified patent attorneys at AdamsonJones to nine and will benefit the growing number of clients contributing to innovation in the East Midlands engineering and manufacturing sector.”
The studying isn’t quite over for Cory as he recently sat the European pre-exam. All being well he will then take the four European final exams next year needed to qualify as a European patent attorney.
