BRUSSELS, Belgium: The Association of Dental Dealers in Europe (ADDE) recently elected a new president, vice president and board members during its 55th annual general assembly. The board is composed of representatives from leading European dental industry associations.
On 27 April, the association’s members elected Ed Attenborough of the UK as the new president and Andreas Meldau of Germany as the new vice president and a board member. Dr Pavel Smažík of the Czech Republic and Jean Martin-Dondoz of France were again appointed to the board. Dominique Deschietere of Belgium, president of the association since 2009, will now continue as the secretary general. Long-standing Vice President Dr Maurizio Quaranta of Italy and board members Ueli Breitschmid of Switzerland and Lutz Müller of Germany have retired from the board.
Attenborough said, “I am honoured to be elected as President of the ADDE at a key time for dental dealers across Europe. We have a great team on the board, and we look forward to supporting and representing the members in facing the challenge of a rapidly evolving market, new medical device regulations, new technology and new channels to market. I would like to thank Dominique Deschietere for overseeing a transformation of the association during his presidency, and Dr Maurizio Quaranta, Ueli Breitschmid and Lutz Müller for their outstanding contribution over many years of service on the board.”
The ADDE is a trade organisation active in the dental industry. It represents the interests of more than 960 dental dealers in Europe and publishes a survey on the European dental trade market trends annually.
