A new service to help businesses with ambitions to export their goods and services is to be launched in January 2017.
Help2Export Ltd, based in Northampton and covering businesses who are based anywhere within the East Midlands is aiming to support those businesses with little or no export experience to start their exporting journey.
For an initial fee of £99 plus Vat a Help2Export adviser will carry out a one hour review to help to establish their position with regards to exporting potential, by looking at the goods/services on offer and suggesting suitable initial export markets to consider.
In addition, by registering with Help2Export the client company will be able to add their profile to the members section of the H2E website in order to help raise their profile and advertise their intention to export.
Help2Export Ltd will also signpost clients to the various free & chargeable services which are available from government bodies such as the Department for International Trade (DIT), Chambers of Commerce and other such organisations who are keen to encourage exporting.
As well as the above-mentioned companies, Help2Export Ltd will work in partnership with professional services companies such as Shakespeare Martineau (Solicitors), Towergate Insurance, Phipps Henson McAllister (Accountants) and GEFCO (Freight Forwarders) to provide their specific services to potential new exporters.
With the uncertainty created by Brexit and the subsequent fall in the value of the Pound, these factors present the perfect opportunity for companies based in the East Midlands to sell their goods and services across the world.
Managing Director, Steve Clark is passionate about exporting and another of his companies – Hospital Aids – are previous winners of the UKTI sponsored, Medilink East Midlands “Export Achievement” award in 2015 and runners up in the subsequent, 2016 Medilink UK (National) award in the same category.
Steve commented that “when our business (Hospital Aids) started up in 2002, we were very naïve about the pursuit of export business! It was only through the encouragement and financial assistance from organisations such as UKTI (now DIT), Medilink East Midlands (our trade organisation) and Northampton Chamber of Commerce that we eventually made a great success of our export business!
We were able to organise visits to relevant trade shows, commission OMIS (Overseas Market Introduction Service) reports and eventually pluck up the courage to exhibit at international exhibitions in order to seek out distributors for our business.”
Help2Export Ltd will officially launch with effect from 1st January 2017, in terms of providing client services, however, their interim website is already up and running, please go to www.help2export.co.uk, where you can find out more and request contact.
