The Board of Medilink Midlands is delighted to announce two major new appointments. Melanie Davidson has been appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer, and Andrea Dawson as Chief Operating Officer/Chief Finance Officer with immediate effect.
Simon Himsworth the previous Chief Executive Officer has now moved onto newer pastures, and we wish him well.
Melanie takes over the reigns at Medilink Midlands having led the operational day-to-day management as Chief Operating Officer for the last twelve months. Melanie has overseen the transition of Medlink West Midlands and Medilink East Midlands to one, unified Medlink Midlands and has assisted in managing the funding applications which will help sustain the organisation well into the future and help it to continue to deliver innovation and business support to all its members.
Melanie has been with Medilink Midlands for thirteen years bringing with her a wealth of experience in industrial research, business and economic development and international investment from her previous roles. She has helped Medilink Midlands broaden its bioscience reach and deliver its operational objectives.
Andrea Dawson joined Medilink Midlands as Head of Finance in August of last year. She has spent over 28 years in finance across a number of sectors. Her wealth of finance, operational management and manufacturing knowledge has helped to deliver stability and security across the organisation.
