Blüm Health, a trailblazer in digital health innovation and a valued member of Medilink Midlands, has been named among the Top 100 fastest-growing startups in the Sifted 100: UK & Ireland 2025 leaderboard.

Founded and led by Dr Michael Watts MBA MBChB BSc (Hons)—Young Health Tech Leader of the Year 2024 (Health Tech World), Co-Founder and CEO of Blüm Health Ltd, NHS Innovation Accelerator Fellow, and NHS England Clinical Entrepreneur & Mentor—Blüm Health has rapidly established itself as a leading force in the health tech space.

Together, these companies have raised £10.5bn, generated £5.38bn in revenue, and now employ over 19,000 people. Blüm Health’s inclusion is a testament to its remarkable scaling journey and impact in transforming healthcare through technology.

Dr Watts is no stranger to the Medilink Midlands network. He regularly shares his real-world experience and deep expertise in digital health through our innovation support programmes, offering practical insights to the next generation of medtech entrepreneurs. His success is a shining example of the power of collaboration between clinical leadership and entrepreneurial vision.

Victoria Patel, Innovation Manager at Medilink Midlands, who has worked closely with Dr Watts over several years, including supporting Blüm Health through successful grant funding bids, commented:

“It’s been a real privilege to support Michael on his innovation journey. The growth of Blüm Health is incredibly well deserved, and it’s fantastic to see his achievements recognised on a national stage. We’re proud to have played a small part in that story.”
