Medilink East Midlands’ latest team building day saw the Medilink EM team visit Stonebridge City Farm, in Nottingham.
Stonebridge City Farm is an urban farm in the St Ann’s district of Nottingham. It was set up in 1978 as a community-run project and now runs as a charity, supporting people from Nottingham, many of whom have a learning disability or a high support mental health difficulty. The farm looks after a range of animals, large and small and grows seasonal vegetables and herbs.
Medilink East Midlands is the life science industry support organisation whose aim is to help life science companies to develop and grow. Medilink East Midlands has been fundraising to help support Stonebridge City Farm for several months, by holding a cake sale at BioCity Nottingham, where the company is based, and also collecting donations throughout the past three months. This resulted in Medilink East Midlands being able to donate £500 to Stonebridge, as well as volunteering for the day on Wednesday, July 24th.
