Medilink EM Members came together today for the East Midlands Annual General Meeting (AGM), at Charnwood Campus in Loughborough. This allowed them to look back on the company’s performance for the past year and have their say on its future endeavours.

Medilink East Midlands is the life science industry organisation for the East Midlands. It connects life science businesses across its area and works in the interests of its membership, which comprises life science businesses, academics and clinicians, of a wide variety of sizes and disciplines.

Keith Widdowson, Chair of Medilink East Midlands, opened proceedings by updating Medilink members on the company’s performance for the last year. This year, the City of Mentor, Ohio, also sponsored the Medilink EM AGM, as a result of the burgeoning relationship between the two organisations. As part of the AGM, Kevin Malecek,  Director of Economic Development and International Affairs for the City of Mentor expounded on the opportunities which are open to East Midlands life science companies which are looking to do business in the United States.

Companies who are members of Medilink EM can receive a wide range of benefits. These include:

  • Proactive identification and preferential promotion of relevant member stories in national publications, regional press and the Medilink EM Annual Report.
  • Posting of events, news & opportunities on the Medilink EM and Medilink UK websites and in e-newsletters
