Fresh Logistics, a temperature controlled solutions company based in Derby, partnered with TRO over the summer to deliver a nationwide sampling campaign for Ribena.

Throughout the five-week guerrilla campaign, they delivered over one million chilled bottles of ‘ready to drink’ Ribena. TRO were looking for a chilled distribution solution that was flexible and reliable to deliver across their nine teams throughout the UK. Overall, they completed 225 days of activation delivering 4,500 bottles at every location every day.

Previously, campaigns of this nature have relied on ambient storage and then ice to chill the samples once at the event site; this process would not work for a full bottle sample due to the time it takes to get the bottles to the perfect serving temperature.

Rob Booker, Account Director at TRO commented; “Fresh provided us with a solution that met both our client brief and enabled us to work in partnership to ensure smooth delivery of the summer sampling campaign for Ribena.”

Fresh utilised nine 7.5t trucks which had been completely re-wrapped to compliment the event kit and make the most of the eye-catching creative design Ribena are using across all platforms. With four main depots utilised they were able to manage stock deliveries, rotation and outloads which had to be balanced accordingly.

Alice Holden-Brown, Account Manager at TRO said; “By working with Fresh we have been able to deliver one million, chilled, full-size bottles to consumers, which has been really well received, especially over the summer. This relationship has meant our teams can concentrate on delivering the most effective sampling campaign with limited challenges.”

Fresh Logistics have completed a number of successful marketing campaigns this summer that have contained diverse and difficult requirements that need an ‘outside the box’ approach.

Fresh Project Manager, Neil Scott added; “At Fresh we have a culture of never saying no to a client. Saying no is the easy thing to do when a request seems difficult. We pride ourselves on always offering our clients options and ideas, then working towards a solution. When you nurture a culture of open thinking and dedication to make things happen, the possibilities within your team are endless. We will always continue to welcome new challenges and develop ‘Fresh’ ideas!”.
