Fresh Logistics, a temperature controlled logistics company with headquarters in Derby will embark on a major project in conjunction with TRO and Ribena that involves supplying over a million chilled bottles to two-hundred and twenty-five specific destinations around the UK over the next five weeks as part of a sampling campaign. The operation is to promote a new re-branding and formulation to the much-loved drink.
Fresh will be providing chilled storage in four warehouses around the UK, collecting daily and running nine Ribena branded refrigerated 7.5t’s to ensure the consumer enjoys refreshingly cooled drinks at each location. The vehicles will be carrying stock for three Ribena flavours, Blackcurrant Light, Strawberry plus Pineapple and Passion-fruit whilst transporting and arranging all the event kit too. Interesting fact – Over 95% of all British Blackcurrants go into Ribena’s drinks.
Fresh Logistics’ business development manager Oli Saffell commented ‘‘we were approached by TRO a month ago to help fulfill an exciting but complex logistics opportunity with Ribena. We have worked hard to get to the position where we are now, giving us the resources available to work on projects such as this. With the agile, hardworking and quirky nature of our business, we are able to provide the perfect fit in a very short space of time for TRO and Ribena to deliver the service offering they required.’’
You will see Fresh Logistics’ Ribena branded vehicles located in city and town centres around the UK starting on Wednesday 5th July, if you get to take a picture then make sure you post it to Twitter or Instagram using the #ribenary and #freshlogistics!
