SUMMARY:EMAHSN Event: Delirium - Dementia's Deadly Twin
DESCRIPTION:This interactive event explores delirium in its broadest sense – establishing ways to place delirium awareness on a par with dementia awareness as a public and professional health theme. \nDementia is associated with a 10-fold risk of developing delirium. 80% of people who live in 24-hour care settings will have dementia\, many of whom will be undiagnosed\, putting this population at very high risk of developing delirium. \nDelegates will: \n\nHave an opportunity to work with experts on understanding the problem\nShare best practice with colleagues from around the region\nHelp to scope the future work programme for the Patient Safety Collaborative\nNetwork with individuals working in the same clinical areas.\n\nTo view the programme and details on booking your place\, please click here.  \nEast Midlands Patient Safety Collaboration will be launching calls for proposals to find innovations that address challenges in priorities areas that will be identified by stakeholders at the event.
