SUMMARY:IN-PERSON EVENT: Arab Health 2025
DESCRIPTION:Arab Health prides itself as being the largest and leading healthcare business event in the Middle East and one of the largest in the world. \nThis event has been running for 49 years and attracts the world’s leading manufacturers\, distributors and service providers\, displaying the latest technology\, innovations and trends within the healthcare and life sciences market. \nIt typically attracts over 4\,000 global exhibitors and tens of thousands of visitors from growing healthcare markets including Saudi Arabia\, UAE\, Oman\, Kuwait and Northern Africa. Visitors include dealers\, distributors\, clinicians and government officials. \nThe Medilink UK Pavilion in 2024 was the largest to date and is growing in size each year\, however our exhibition space does sell out very quickly and we advise companies to book sooner rather than later. \nThe event will also offer an online platform that connects to the live event\, at no additional cost. This digital offering will run for two months\, allowing further opportunities for networking\, learning and promotion\, resulting in more productive meetings and a higher return on your investment. \nWhat are the options for exhibiting?\nShell Scheme: This is our most popular exhibition stand option and each stand comes complete with carpet\, electricity\, nameboard\, lighting and furniture package. We can offer a range of sizes in multiples of 3m. \nPod: The pod is our smallest exhibiting option and is one size only. It is suitable for one member of staff and those with very small products to show\, or service providers. The pod comes complete with carpet\, electricity\, nameboard\, lighting\, 1 stool\, 1 cabinet with graphic backdrop and a shared meeting area. Due to space limitations\, companies are not permitted to bring pop-up banners. Any products must fit on top of the lockable cabinet (we can advise of this before signing up). \nSpace Only: With this option\, you would book the raw floor space with Medilink and work with an exhibition contractor to design your own custom-built stand\, for an additional cost with them. We can happily recommend our chosen stand builders for a cost-effective and easy experience. This option tends to be for larger spaces\, however we can offer a range of sizes in multiples of 3m\, with the minimum being 21sqm. \nWe are also pleased to include a preferential rate for accommodation\, exclusive to our exhibitors and clients. \nFor prices and further information\, please click here.

SUMMARY:ONLINE: Phase-IV-AI Stakeholder Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Nottingham Trent University is running an online event to gather user requirements (particularly focused on marketisation and stakeholder engagement) for Phase-IV-AI\, an EU funded project developing a “Health Data Hub”\, which provides access to the project’s data synthetisation services (DaaS) and multi-party computation services (MaaS). \nThe project will advance the current state-of-the-art data synthesis methods towards a more generalised approach of synthetic data generation and develop ML orchestration tools for a machine learning workflow using medical data. It will also develop metrics for testing and validation\, as well as protocols that enable synthetic data generation without access to real-world data (through multi-party computation). \nThe project aims to provide: \n\nData as a Service (DaaS)\n\nCore data generation technologies for data availability and reusability.\nState of the art de-identification methods and anonymisation tools to support generative models for synthetic data generation with anonymisation\, and data augmentation methods for providing on-demand data access.\nImproved methods and technical pipelines for privacy-preserving data synthesis including different data formats such as Electronic Health Records and medical images.\nAnonymous data on demand or from a repository.\n\n\nModel as a Service (MaaS)\n\nPrivacy preserving machine learning orchestration tools for a machine learning workflow using medical data residing in hospitals and other healthcare institutions.\nEasy to use and configurable data services to enable AI developers’ access to larger pools of decentralised de-identified data through multi-party computing.\n\n\nHealth Data Hub (HDH)\n\nTo foster innovators and end-users’ needs with a sustainable service for the DaaS and the MaaS.\nEstablish a Data Market – facilitating data sharing and monetisation including incentives-based provision of data to the services.\nIntegrate the data market and the data service ecosystem as a X-European health data hub in the European Health Data Space.\n\n\nResults validated with real-world use-cases\, focusing on lung cancer\, prostate cancer and ischemic stroke.\n\nThis is also an opportunity for collaboration and data sharing across Europe\, with distinct data sets providing additional perspectives for disease prediction. \nThe Ask\nThe area to focus on is using large (primary care) datasets for symptomatic detection\, and to predict current or future disease risk. The project has existing models\, and are developing new algorithms for comparison\, but need to understand what users from different disciplines and backgrounds need from the system for it to be worthwhile. \nIn the first round of requirements development\, they have worked with clinicians and academics\, in the upcoming round would like to focus on the requirements of AI companies and developers. Your input is vital in shaping a system which will be relevant to your needs and will help to provide access to an ever-growing repository of health data. \nREGISTER FOR THE ONLINE EVENT HERE.

Shocked that only 1 in 3 women and people with a cervix attend screenings—largely due to pain\, discomfort\, and embarrassment—Louise recognised an urgent unmet patient need. After 147 years with little innovation in the design of the speculum\, she set out to create a device that works with the female body rather than against it\, aiming to improve patient experiences and drive higher screening participation. Originally building a career in film and television\, Louise was forced to step away from the industry after a major health event at 40\, leading her down an unexpected path. Determined to turn her own challenges into positive change\, she entered the world of FemTech to tackle inequalities in women’s healthcare. Since then\, she has secured five grants\, including the prestigious Innovate UK Women in Innovation Award\, and is making significant strides in medical innovation. Passionate about improving access to healthcare\, Louise is committed to ensuring that essential screenings are more comfortable\, dignified\, and accessible for all. \n  \nTo read more about Medilink Midlands’ role within the WMHTIA project\, click here. \nFor more information on the wider project\, click here to visit the WMHTIA website. \nThis event forms part of the West Midlands Health Tech Innovation Accelerator (WMHTIA) event series. Medilink Midlands are one of a consortium of delivery partners for the WMHTIA\, a project funded by the Department for Science\, Innovation and Technology\, Innovate UK and West Midlands Combined Authority (part of City Regions).
