It’s a requirement of the new EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR: article 61) that a medical device company have a regulatory strategy and of the MDR and MEDDEV 2.7/1 rev 4 that the company have a clinical evaluation strategy. \nIn order to generate sales\, organisations need to have thought through the clinical elements for market access as this will put them back months\, if not years\, if not understood and completed when initially gathering clinical evidence. \nCompanies need to be prepared and have solutions in place to address this and their ongoing clinical requirements. DESCRIPTION:This one-day course is designed for those who need to better understand the Medical Device Directive (MDD) and want to learn what is important to understand for compliance in the Medical Device Regulation (MDR). Comprehensive notes in the form of slides are used in the training\, but it is the experience\, insights\, examples and methods used by the well-known trainer\, that makes it important to be present as a delegate. \nMeet the Trainer \nTrevor Lewis has a unique\, truly engaging approach that previous delegates have found very effective and especially memorable. He has decades of relevant experiences to draw from; in industry\, as a consultant and as a trainer of regulators around the world on behalf of the European Commission. \nDelegate numbers are deliberately limited\, so the training can be sensitive to individual experience\, ability and needs. Delegates should ideally provide us with a training needs analysis to ensure optimal training and use of time. SUMMARY:Innovation Loans Open Competition: Briefing and Workshop (Midlands)
DESCRIPTION:Innovate UK\, the Knowledge Transfer Network and the Enterprise Europe Network are hosting a briefing event for Innovate UK’s second Open innovation loans competition\, which is currently open for application. \nInnovate UK is running a pilot programme of loan competitions. A total of up to £50 million is available for business innovation projects. Innovate UK is working to broaden the range of innovation finance support available to businesses\, so they can access funding at all stages of innovation. Innovation loans are for UK small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that want to scale up and grow through innovation\, developing new or improved products\, processes or services. They can be used for late-stage research and development (R&D) projects\, which have not yet reached the point of commercialisation. \nInnovate UK is to offer up to £10 million in loans to SMEs for innovative late stage projects. The aim of this competition is to provide loans to help SMEs to undertake game-changing innovations with strong commercial potential across any sector or industry. Innovation loans will offer affordable\, patient\, flexible\, repayable funding for later-stage research & development projects with a clear route to commercial success.
