Derbyshire company Ayva Pharma, based at Hilton Business Park has been selected as a Medilink East Midlands Business Awards winner for 2017.

Ayva Pharma is a leading international pharmaceutical company which supplies medicines to hospitals, organisations and governments across the globe. Specialising in supplying to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Ayva Pharma has been exhibiting at Arab Health since 2013 as part of their commitment to this region. Having won the Start-up award in 2015, Ayva Pharma has now gone on to take home the Export Achievement award.

The Export Achievement Award was sponsored by the Department for International Trade.

The Medilink East Midlands awards were held as part of the annual Innovation Day on Thursday 15thJune at The DoubleTree by Hilton, Nottingham and companies were presented with awards in five categories: Start-up, Export Achievement, Collaboration with the NHS, Innovation and Outstanding Achievement.

Innovation Day, now in its 13th year, is the premier East Midlands event for the Life Sciences industry, and 2017 was another huge success, with over 200 delegates in attendance. Speakers included Vivienne Parry OBE who hosted the day, Sir John Peace, Chairman of The Midlands Engine, John Jeans, MedTech Champion for Office for Life Sciences and Richard Bradley, Pharmacy Director for Boots UK and Republic of Ireland.

Ayva Pharma Ltd will be automatically shortlisted for the Medilink UK National Awards, which will take place in April 2018.
