Cooling Phase Change Technology PCM increases the performance levels of a range of 3D spacer fabrics. This  new technology has be added to the range of Baltex Advanced Surface Technology fabrics.

PCM technology absorbs heat from the wearers body, the heat is retained and released back to the body when the temperature gradient is reversed. Heat is dissipated and a cooling effect is created. This is further enhanced by the airflow of the spacer fabric, creating a temperature regulating environment, keeping the body in its comfort zone.

HOW IT WORKS
Phase Changing Material instantly reduces the body temperature, because the high thermal effusivity quickly draws heat away from the skin on initial contact and instant cooling sensation is perceived. The smart heat exchange is realized by microencapsulated Phase Change Materials (PCMs), which keep the body’s heat production and heat loss in balance and thus provides a sensation of thermal comfort.

YOUR ADVANTAGES

  • Instant cool sensation: superfluous heat leaves the body easily and quickly
  • Spacer fabric gives extra airflow to reduce heat build up and compression comfort
  • Moisture wicking and inherently anti-bacterial options
  • Breathability of fabric is maintained, because air and water vapour can continue to run through the fibre
  • Wash resistant

Ideal industries and applications for Phase Change Material
