Fresh Logistics Compliance Manager, Lindsey Watmough, has been selected as one of the seven finalists for the Compliance Officer of the Year for a Medium Sized Company. This International award has finalists from Italy, The United Arab Emirates and Iran from a range of industries and including companies like HSBC, Oracle and Royal Mail.
Since joining Fresh Logistics, from the private training sector, Lindsey has wasted no time in immersing herself in the legislation surrounding the transport sector. Her thirst for knowledge, coupled with her exemplary work ethic meant that she was soon promoted to the senior management team. Operations Director Dave Price stated; “Lindsey is approachable, willing to learn and push herself, is a natural leader and, most importantly, can manage upwards as well as down. She has been a fantastic addition to the business and is turning out to be a real shining light. She is also not afraid to get her hands dirty, which means she is a complete fit with the company ethos”
Lindsey started at Fresh having never worked in compliance, after a year in the business, she was promoted to Compliance Manager, taking on a team of three and overall management of the companies fleet of vehicles, QMS, warehousing and HR. Fresh is dedicated to developing the people that work for them, and are quick to identify the talents of the staff. “I’ve loved the past couple of years working in Compliance for Fresh. It’s so fast paced and they’re an amazing group of people.”
Lindsey will be attending the awards ceremony at the Sheraton Grand Hotel on Park Lane on the 22nd of March. “It’d be great to win,” she said, “but to be honest, I’m just blown away that I’ve even been nominated for something as big as this.”
The team all wish Lindsey good luck for the awards, and they wouldn’t be at all surprised if she won!
