Medilink Midlands is proud to support cancer research charity, Hope Against Cancer.
Hope Against Charity supports cutting edge research and clinical trials in Leicestershire and Rutland. We strive for a future where more people survive cancer and do this through prioritisation of research into early detection, treatment and the prevention of cancer.
Hope Against Cancer work in partnership with local universities and hospitals to make sure the Midlands, Leicestershire and Rutland is a hub of expertise in cancer research and treatment.
Discovering
Hope Against Cancer has funded over 100 research projects covering a range of cancers at different stages of research, all with the aim of improving the lives of cancer patients.
Delivering
Since it’s opening in 2012 and expansion in 2020, over 30,000 patients have attended the Hope Cancer Trials Centre at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
Sharing
Sharing results is a fundamental part of science. The results of Hope funded research are shared widely and Hope funded PhD students and researchers take away skills and knowledge that can impact the world.
The Hope Business Club
Become a part of the Hope Business Club and connect with like-minded organisations, make a positive impact on the advancement of local cancer research and find inspiration.
Members of the club subscribe with for an annual fee and collaborate closely with the charity to support our mission.
The club hosts bi-annual luncheons featuring two guest speakers: one from local cancer research and another who shares personal experiences as a cancer patient. These events offer valuable insights and diverse perspectives on the charity’s work, along with members being able to mingle with one another and foster new connections.
We encourage local businesses to lead their own fundraising initiatives while also participating in HOPE-led events.
Joining the Business Club provides an excellent opportunity for companies to enhance their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) profile, strengthen their talent acquisition and retention strategies, and build long-lasting relationships within the local community.
