According to the Met Office, Doris is expected to bring strong winds, rain and snow to the entire of the UK, hitting Northern Ireland just before it sweeps across Scotland, Northern England and The Midlands on Thursday. Expected rainfall in Northern Ireland is looking to reach 20-30mm with winds reaching up to 80mph. It looks like it’s going to be a rather unsettled end of the week for most of us in the UK. So far today we’ve seen planes struggling to land in cross winds at Leeds Bradford Airport and the Met Office has urged the public to ‘be prepared’. The heavy rain and high winds expected could cause potential damage to buildings, power cuts, flooding, travel chaos and possibly even injury.
