A six figure funding deal from Royal Bank of Scotland has supported Questmark, the multi-award winning Nottingham centred video conferencing specialist, to launch a new cloud based meeting service – The Meeting Platform.

The Meeting Platform is a simple to use, secure, video conferencing meeting space which aims to make video conferencing affordable and easy to use for a wider number of individuals and organisations in the UK, including SMEs.

Easy to access, the service offers users an enhanced video meeting space, it can accommodate up to 20+ different participants and has been designed to deliver HD audio and video. Applications for iOS and Android mobile devices along with Mac OSX, Windows and Linux desktops have also been developed and are now available online, making The Meeting Platform fully portable and accessible from anywhere with wireless connectivity.

Questmark are a long standing video conferencing company and have been working in the industry for over 23 years. Branded experts in their field, they are trusted by organisations of all sizes, including the public sector, and are an official Crown Commercial Services Supplier. Along with the expertise they have gained over almost two and a half decades, they hold certifications such as ISO27001, ISO14001 and ISO9001, showing their passion for security, information governance and environmental and quality management.

Royal Bank of Scotland has supported the business launch with a six figure lending deal, providing funding to enable Questmark to purchase a number of multi control units (MCU’s).  The MCUs have enabled the company to add enhanced capacity to their service and ensure that they are operating at a high security specification.

Leia Pearce, Marketing Manager at Questmark, said: “The launch of The Meeting Platform is an incredibly exciting move for all of us at Questmark.  Video conferencing, especially the ability to host and attend video meetings online, hold a number of benefits for companies including improved employee engagement and motivation, higher rates of productivity,
collaboration with external contacts, a reduction in travel costs and reduced decision making time.

“Research undertaken by Gartner has indicated that group video conferencing usage will grow by as much as 400% by 2019 and The Meeting Platform has been developed to offer users a simple to use, secure and easily accessible way to undertake such communication.

“The support we have received from Royal Bank of Scotland to help us launch The Meeting Platform has been excellent.  The funding has enabled us to invest in the new technology we needed for the business and the team at the bank have been completely behind our decision to launch the new service.”

Anna Ellison, Senior Relationship Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “I am pleased that we have been able to support Questmark with the launch of The Meeting Platform.  The service is an excellent concept and very relevant to today’s business world given the growing popularity and importance of video conferencing.  It has been great to work alongside the team and to help support their growth ambitions.  We are looking forward to continuing our relationship with Questmark and working together in the future.”
