Health Innovation East Midlands (HIEM) are experts in health innovation. We transform lives through innovation by supporting health and social care teams to find, test and implement new solutions to the NHS’ greatest challenges, driving economic growth.

We work within the East Midlands and nationally as part of the Health Innovation Network, operating as the innovation arm of the NHS. As a network of 15 local HINs, we tackle national problems with local understanding and tackle local problems with national expertise.

How they support the medtech and life sciences sector

We work across industry and life sciences to help spread innovation.
We partner with forward-thinking pharmaceutical and life sciences companies who want to bring innovative treatments, pathways and solutions to patients and professionals in our region.

HIEM can support life sciences to connect to local NHS networks and health services to support collaboration around treatment, roll out and uptake.

Their impact

We provide expert support to innovators and entrepreneurs across the entire pathway of innovation, from having a great idea through to successful launch and commercialisation.

We support innovators to prepare their solutions for real world implementation, to ensure they are adoption ready and deliver impact. The type of support we offer depends on the needs of the innovator.
