Runners from Medilink East Midlands, nicknamed “Medilimpers”, achieved 10th place in the Corporate Challenge, part of the Robin Hood Marathon which took place on Sunday 25th September.

The seven strong team either ran the half or mini marathon. What started out as a bit of fun ended in huge success with a combined time for the fastest four runners seeing the Medilimpers sneak into the top ten, ahead of 17 other companies.

Medilink chose to raise money for Nottingham based charity The Ear Foundation, who are members of Medilink East Midlands and provide support services to children and adults with hearing loss. Thanks to generous sponsors from friends, family and colleagues, the total raised so far is £320.00.

Chief Executive of Medilink EM, Dr Darren Clark, said;

“Entering the Corporate Challenge was originally just about doing something as a team and so we have been incredibly pleased with the result; both in achieving 10th place and raising the amount we have for The Ear Foundation. Many team members had never run before so it’s great that they got involved and worked so hard; and some have even said they would do it again! Overall it was a really enjoyable day with a great atmosphere, well worth the sore legs the next day.”
